Six years since picking up instruments for the first time, Lillix is set to strike American audiences with their rambunctious, pop-infused rock and roll on Falling Uphill, the band's Maverick Records debut. With a lead vocal triple threat made up of guitarist Tasha-Ray Evin (17), older sister and keyboardist Lacey-Lee Evin (19), and bassist Louise Burns (17), as well as an accomplished drummer in recent addition Kim Urhahn (23), this Canadian band has a well-cultivated musical vision. Armed with influences running the gamut from Queen to Weezer and the Beatles to Radiohead, Lillix set up shop in the Evins' basement while still in the 7th grade, and started belting out rock-edged pop tunes written and played by their own hands and own instruments.
Lillix hooked up with an impressive list of producers to shape the sound of Falling Uphill, including the Matrix (Avril Lavigne), Philip Steir (No Doubt), former 4-Non Blonde Linda Perry (Pink, Christina Aguilera), John Shanks (The Corrs, Michelle Branch) and the omnipotent Glen Ballard on "24/7. " The band has also had major exposure by performing the theme song for the WB show "What I Like About You" .
The band's first single "It's About Time" will be hitting the airwaves at Top 40 and Modern AC radio this March, with an album in store date of May 13, 2003. The Video for the first single was directed by Liz Friedlander (Michelle Branch, U2) and should make its debut on a variety of video outlets inlcuding Nickelodoen and MTV this Spring . AOL and Launch.com will also be featuring the band this spring as part of early awareness campaigns. On top of the release the band has some major teen press including Teen Vogue, Seventeen, Twist, Popstar as well as traditional music press such as Spin, Blender, and Women in Rock.

Under one of these subheadings, it’s a good idea to list recent updates to my site so that visitors, especially return visitors, can check out the new stuff first. For example, I could list the date and a brief description of the update:

I could also list updated news about my site’s topic. For example, if my site were about a particular sport, I’d could discuss the outcome of a recent competition. |
Welcome To My Home Page
This would also be a great place to include any new information or changes that you have made to your site recently. It is important to regularly change the content on your site and make updates to the information that you display. Doing this will help you to get more return visits from your visitors. |
Notifying Visitors of Site Enhancements
Another idea for my home page’s text is notifying visitors about the enhancements I put on my site. For example, I want visitors to sign my guestbook or fill out my survey Form E-mailer to answer questions about my site, my business, or my site’s topic.

I might not want a large amount of text on my home page if I want to guide visitors toward my other pages. Instead of text, I can add others’ buttons to this first page, and I’ll be rewarded for people who click on the buttons. For example, if a visitor signs up for a Visa using the NextCard button on my site, I earn at least ! |
